    About the GMU Foundation

    The George Mason University Foundation was established in 1966 to advance and further the aims and purposes of George Mason University. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation organized and operated exclusively for the benefit of the university.

    The foundation assists the university in generating private support and manages, invests, and administers private gifts, including endowment and real property. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, led by a chairman. The vice president of University Development and Alumni Affairs of George Mason University serves as president of the foundation.

    Your Contributions

    For tax purposes, most individuals can deduct 100% of the gift amount in the year that it is made. For your convenience, contributions can be made in person, through the mail, or online. In all cases, please include the CSIS Contribution Form with your donation. (This link will open a new window.)

    - Hand Delivery
    You may bring your contribution in the form of cash or a check made payable to George Mason University Foundation, Inc. directly to the CSIS Office on the Fairfax Campus in Science & Technology Building 2, Room 330, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please be sure to include the CSIS Contribution Form with your donation and state that you would like to designate your gift to the Center for Secure Information Systems.

    - Mail
    Although we do not recommend sending cash through the mail, checks made payable to George Mason University Foundation, Inc. can be sent to the following address. Please be sure to include the CSIS Contribution Form with your donation and note that you would like to designate your gift to the Center for Secure Information Systems.

    The Committee on National Security Systems and the National Security Agency have certified that George Mason University offers a set of courseware that has been reviewed by National Level Information Assurance Subject Matter Experts and determined to meet National Training Standards for Information Systems Security Professionals, NSTISSI No. 4011, 4012, and 4013 for academic years 2005 - 2008.
