The main website claims that SPIM compiles and runs on Mac. This is not true. 
The site also links to a website which provides a precompiled version of SPIM 
for Macs. This version is very old and does not run even simple instructions 
such as JAL.

Mac users should install Darwinports then use Darwinports to install SPIM.
